If you haven’t yet seen the wonderful “What makes Monmouth, Monmouth?” Exhibition, which is now in the Shire Hall, on tour and online, there is still time!
Co curated by local people, the exhibition highlights items from Monmouth Museum’s local collections, many of which have never been on display, including paintings, photos, models, a set of Morris dancer bells and even a mammoth’s tooth!
The main exhibition is in the Shire Hall, Agincourt Square, open 11am - 4pm everyday except Wednesdays and Sundays. Entrance to the Shire Hall and its exhibitions, is free.
The free touring exhibition with the same name has a different but equally fascinating selection of items from the Museum’s local collections and will be at Ty Price Hall, St. Thomas’ Square, Monmouth, from 11 February to 23 March, open during the Hall’s opening hours.
And finally, the online version of the exhibition is at https://www.monlifecollections.co.uk/projects/dynamic-collections/
