A IEUAN Frost brace saw Redbrook Rovers share a point apiece with North Gloucestershire One basement visitors Ross Juniors in a 2-2 home draw on Saturday.

The third draw in a row made it seven games unbeaten in the league, leaving them fourth, and they’ll be up for the George Sandoe Cup this weekend, when they visit Ruardean United for some knockout action.

Elsewhere, 17-year-old supersub Aedan McDaid secured a 1-0 home win for Thornwell R&W against top half Gwent Premier 2 rivals Pontypool Town with the only goal eight minutes from time.

The result saw the Chepstow outfit leapfrog Pontnewydd United to fifth a place behind the visitors.

But Usk Town fell to a 5-1 loss at home to relegation rivals Oak, despite levelling at 1-1 through an own goal five minutes before the break, dropping them into the bottom two.

And while Chepstow Town's top two sides weren't in action, the 3rds probably wish they hadn't been, going down 10-1 at home to East Gwent One leaders Sudbrook CC.

The visitors went in front in the first minute and piled up a 5-0 lead inside half an hour before Lucas Owen pulled one back before the break.

But it was one-way traffic again afterwards, with Luke Evans helping himself to a five-goal haul.

Other winners in a weather-hit fixture programme included Tintern Abbey, who secured a 4-0 win at home to Portskewett & Sudbrook to go fourth in EG2, the goals coming from Gavin Stewart, Harry Francis, Dave Perrett and Ryan Marchant.

Unbeaten Gwent Central 2 leaders Glascoed also made it 15 wins out of 15 after coming back from 2-1 down at home to Forgeside 2nds to win 4-2.

An Adam Barber brace put the visitors in front at the break, but a second half brace from sub Nathan Thomas and one from Andrew Lewis turned things around following Jack Taylor's first-half effort.

But Usk 2nds were downed 7-3 at Prescoed, leaving them fourth from bottom.
