FORMER Monmouth Comprehensive pupil Millie Malsom is on fire for Ross Juniors Women as they sit equal top in the Mid West Counties Women’s League.
The hotshot striker fired a hat-trick as they hit Halesowen hosts Halas Hawks for six without reply a week last Sunday, before adding another goal in a 5-1 win last weekend over Nunnery Wood.
In the Hawks game in atrocious conditions, Juniors scored after seven minutes when Keira Brain played Millie in to finish well.
And they doubled the lead on 24 minutes when Millie broke into the box and squeezed the ball across goal for Meg Boardman to finish at the back post.
Two minutes before the break, Amelia Seal broke before cutting the ball back to Millie who swept in off the bar for a 3-0 half-time lead.
And Millie repaid the compliment eight minutes into the second period, playing Seal through to score with a tidy finish for 4-0.
And they were in again on 76 minutes when Romerleigh Parker broke the lines and played Millie in for her hat-trick and 5-0.
Four minutes from time, a good passing move saw Millie drive at the defence before feeding Mica Walker to make it six.
Last Sunday at Worcester University, a Lauren Creed shot hit the bar and flicked off a defender for the opener after just a minute, before an excellent through ball from Walker on the half hour sent Millie in behind to finish for 2-0.
Four minutes later, some fine foot work from Mille saw her find Seal who cut in and smashed the ball home for 3-0, and it was soon four as Creed slotted home from a Walker through ball.
A Walker 25-yarder with 15 minutes to go then made it 5-0 before Nunnery Wood managed a late consolation.
Victory leaves them level on points with Hereford Women, with a trip to Redditch-based Kingfisher FC up next on Sunday (February 9).
