FIRST half goals from Adam Wakley (23 minutes) and Josh Parsons (42) secured a pont for Chepstow Town in a 2-2 top half Ardal South East draw under the floodlights at county rivals Abergavenny on Friday.

There was drama at the end of the first half as the Pennies levelled 1-1 on 41 minutes, only for the Jockeys to score again almost from the kick-off.

But the hosts hit back seven minutes into the second period, Mason Keepin-Davies equalising, with the draw leaving Aber fifth – who've drawn five out of nine games – and Chepstow sixth.

The Jockeys' 2nds were in seventh heaven on Saturday though, walloping Abertillery Bluebirds 2nds 7-2 at home to go fourth in FAW Cymru SE Reserves, Malique West firing four (23, 53, 71, 76) after two early goals from Bailey Hobbs (10, 16) with the other a 33rd-minute own goal.

Jordan Loydall fired a second half hat-trick as Usk Town recorded a second win of the season at home to Pontnewynydd in Gwent Premier 2, triumphing 5-2 after going 1-0 down in the first minute.

An own goal right on half-time brought them level before Loydall made it 2-1 two minutes after the restart, only for the visitors to equalise three minutes later.

Undeterred, Usk pushed on, Gene Gurie making it 3-2 (62) and Loydall adding two more (65, 76).

But Chepstow-based rivals Thornwell R&W lost 4-1 at leaders Alway, Josh Pidden with the second half consolation.

And their 2nds were on the end of a magnificent seven from neighbours Chepstow Town 3rds in East Gwent One, the visitors matching the Jockeys reserves, with Thomas Collins firing a hat-trick and Pete Scarfi a brace.
