The next instalment in Peter Bere’s exploration of Monmouthshire through the ages.
This week’s image features a view of the Tibbs old wooden Bridge, with views of the Castle, Priory, and St. Marys Priory church Monmouth c1800. This led onto what was originally called Castle Fields and the most probable site of the Battle of Monmouth.
