A LIVELY crowd of Monmouth u3a members and friends gathered in Bridges Centre Friday, December 6 to dance the night away.
Despite the threats of Storm Darrah, scratch bands Jazz Combo and U3 provided the evening’s entertainment to around 100 of the organisation.
The evening fit with the organisation’s ethos, offering members the chance to start or restart a hobby, including music and dance.
Attendees expressed their joy of the evening. One member remarked they hadn’t been up and dancing since 1977 and really enjoyed it, while another commented on how they were “transported back to their youth” and a “great time was had by all.”

The evening’s acts were as pleased as the audience. Al Vaughan, Lead Guitarist said: “It was great to play for such an enthusiastic audience, especially as may of us hadn't play for decades!”
