Following on from the Monmouth Mayor's welcoming a National Retail Chain to Monnow Street, Cllr Evans has been pleased to attend the opening of not one but two independent businesses to Monmouth. He said "It's great to see two welcome additions to our Town's businesses and I am grateful for their investment and confidence in Monmouth as a place to do business." 

Cllr Evans also cut the ribbon at the opening of Monmouthshire Building Society's (MBS) new premises on Monnow Street (pictured) on Monday 14th October. The opening was also attended by MBS's Chief Executive Officer, Will Carroll who said that moving to new premises had been on his wish list for quite some time. Cllr Evans noted that the new premises had much more user-friendly access and that the move had created a position for an additional member of staff.

He was also pleased to see the new pop up by the Boat House Gallery opposite the new Beacon offices in Monnow Street.
