The Lower Wye Ramblers invite you to join them on Sunday 27 April for a 5-mile moderate-plus walk up the Skirrid. Starting at 10 am from the National Trust Skirrid car park on the B4521 Abergavenny to Ross road-(£5.00 charge per car for non-National Trust members; Grid reference: SO 32892 16426; Nearest postcode: NP7 8AP; what3words: stilted.tint.flops), we will take the spiral path up to the top at a leisurely pace, with several stops to admire the views across the surrounding countryside.
Please bring drinks, snacks, and a packed lunch with you and wear suitable clothing and footwear for the walk. For further information (e.g. meeting point for car sharing) and contact details for the walk leader, go the group’s website (www.ramblers.org.uk/lower-wye; it is always advisable to look on the website on the morning of a walk to check for any last-minute changes [e.g. cancellation due to weather, etc.]).
Walking is a great way to stay fit, enjoy the beautiful area we live in, and meet new people and make friends, and the Lower Wye Ramblers group offers a warm welcome to both novice and experienced walkers. So come along and join us—we look forward to meeting you.
