New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Monmouthshire’s pubs, bars or nightclubs, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Horseshoe Inn, at Old Abergavenny Road, Mamhilad was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 23.

And Wheatsheaf Inn, at Llanhennock, Caerleon, Monmouthshire was also given a score of four on August 23.

It means that of Monmouthshire's 129 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 83 (64%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
