AUSTRALIA’S Spooky Men's Chorale are winging in to Abergavenny’s Borough Theatre as part of a nationwide 30-date tour later this month behind their new album We'll give it a go.

With 10 sell-out UK tours and six acclaimed albums under their belts, their unique combination of Georgian songs, beautiful ballads, ridiculous covers, and hilarious originals boast an ever-growing international fanbase.

They first emerged blinking-eyed from the Blue Mountains of New South Wales in 2001.

Armed with no more than their voices and an ill-matched set of hats, the Spooky Men have since built a cult following stretching across the globe.

Having had extensive airplay from the likes of Cerys Matthews (Radio 6), Mark Radcliffe (Radio 2), In Tune (Radio 3) and Front Row (Radio 4), recent UK tours have seen the Spooks perform at WOMAD, Edinburgh and Sidmouth festivals.

This time dates include the Cropredy Festival, as well as shows at classic venues such as London's Union Chapel, and Queen's Hall Edinburgh.

And they are headed for the Borough on Monday, July 29.

Also upcoming at the Borough are Theatre Workshop Cymru performing the much-loved Matilda The Musical (Junior) on this Friday and Saturday (July 19-20).
