Jane Lucas, county councillor for the Osbaston ward has said her ward has been given money to plant wild primroses.

The plants have arrived in the area and she hoping to get them planted next week in the late afternoons / teatime.

“I was wondering if anyone might like to help plant them, there is about 500 plants? I’m sure there some of you who are much more green fingered than me, I’ve just borrowed a bulb planter, “ she said.

The areas to get a show of colour will be; Hereford Rd / Bank of Vine Arce; Highfield Rd off Hereford Rd; Lancaster Way if there is enough opposite side to the houses on the bank; Chaucer Way underneath the trees – not touching the Daffs; Bottom of Beaufort rd behind the bench; Osbaston Rd at the bottom of Chaucer around the tree.

MCC grounds will strimming the areas really low to give the plants a chance to get going.
