A woman has realised a long-held dream and finally opened up a beauty parlour with a shop front.
Rachel Hollingsbee has been supported by her husband Nick in the seven years she has been trading as Bee You Bee Beautiful.
Firstly from Apex House, then working in a summer house in Goldwire Lane and then from a cabin they built in their own back garden, then worked from a back room at the Wellness shop in St Thomas’ Square to finally acquiring the former flower shop next door that was Posies for many years.
She now has six others working alongside her to perfect her business.
They decided to raise money for the Welsh Air Ambulance in celebrating the opening of the parlour.
With a raffle and donations and supported by their two daughters who did £1 massages as well as Sally-Ann Saint who offered Tarot readings to help boost the funds, they were able to raise £1,250 for the charity.
Nick is also doing four charity rounds of golf at Monmouth Golf club in June and has also chosen the Welsh Air Ambulance to donate the money to
With snacks, fizz and nibbles, goodie bags and a cake, made by Claire Allen plus the support of the Noodle in a box stall the event was a great success.
