The grand opening of the Monmouth’s underpass, under the water themed murals was granted officially open.

The Mayor David Evans and MP Catherine Fookes unveiled the plaque in Wyesham Underpass.

Local artist Paul Shepherd has transformed this space to be a positive area for the community.

Monmouth Town Council suggested the designs for the murals along with inspiration from children at Monmouth Comprehensive school and The Attik giving Paul an idea of what to include.

Catherine Fookes led the successful funding application to Wye Valley National Landscape sustainable development fund.

The project was funded by Wye Valley National landscapes sustainability fund and Monmouth Town Council.
