Beacon reader Debra Lake sent us this picture of the Northern Lights from last week, taken by her husband Phillip.

Caused by a powerful solar storm which erupted on Tuesday, the spectacular views of the Northern Lights across Wales were seen from Anglesey to Swansea and Phillip captured this moment over Monmouth for posterity.
