Monmouth Town have confirmed the signing of former Cheltenham, Newport and Swansea City striker Julian Alsop until the end of the season.
The 40-year-old 6'4" striker will be in the squad for Saturday's visit of Haverfordwest.
'Jules', as he is known, made his debut for Cheltenham Town in 2000 scoring in a 2-2 draw with Mansfield. He eventually scored 47 goals for Cheltenham in 171 league and FA Cup appearances for the Robins from 2000-2003 and 2009-2010.
Nuneaton-born Alsop played for Swansea from 1998 to 2000, making 92 appearances and scoring 34 goals. He also hit the quickest hat-trick in history for Tamworth, in their 1995 clash against Armitage, bagging three goals in just over a minute.
Alsop made five appearances for the England C team from 1995 to 2005, playing against Belgium, France, Norway, Croatia and Scotland and played with Dan MacDonald at Carmarthen Town before temporarily hanging up his boots.
Town boss Steve Jenkins, who knows Alsop from his Newport County days, is confident the forward can provide a boost for the rest of the season.
"Jules is a great character and a very experienced player," he said. "We sometimes need a different option when we're playing against tighter defences and Jules will give us that. If we need to mix it with teams he can do that too."
