CHEPSTOW Town high-fived it with a 5-0 thumping of Ardal South East hosts Croesyceiliog, securing a first league win since mid-August.
It was 0-0 at the break but the Jockeys then ran amok, Josh Parsons firing two in five minutes early in the second period (51, 56), followed by strikes for Chris O'Donnell (64), Oliver Melling (70) and Adam Wakley (73), with the welcome win lifting them back to fourth.
The 2nds missed out 3-2 at home to Treowen Stars in the SE Reserves' League, Malique West (12) opening the scoring and Bailey Hobbs making it 2-2 on 53 minutes, before the visitors bagged the points with a 60th-minute winner.
Usk Town battled hard against high-flying hosts Cwmcarn, but lost out 2-0 with the winners leapfrogging Alway to the Gwent Premier 2 summit.
And Chepstow's Thornwell R&W also missed out 3-1 at third-placed Pontnewydd, Alfie Sessford with a late consolation.,
Glascoed stayed top of Gwent Central 2 though, with a hard-fought 5-3 home victory over Penygarn & Trevethin.
The visitors led after just three minutes, but goals for Kevin Andrews (25), Dawson Stubbs (35, 59), Tom Knight (45+7) and Andrew Davey (60) secured the points.
It was also the Benevolent Cup first round, with Chepstow Town 3rds tanking Caldicot Castle 10-1, Mayson Haysom with a hat-trick and Tom Collins with a brace.
Tintern Abbey's prayers went unanswered at home to Castle's 1st string however, losing 5-2 in extra-time after Robert Davies's 24th-minute opener and a late penalty had secured a 2-2 draw in normal time.
Thornwell 2nds also missed out 4-1 away to Undy 3rds, Nick Cleary with the 60th-minute consolation, while other results were Severn Tunnel 6 Portskewett & Sudbrook 1, Sudbrook CC 2nds 2 Caldicot Town 3rds 4.
Redbrook Rovers paid tribute to club legend Andrew Mills who died last week before kicking-off at home to Woolaston. But the game was later abandoned after a nasty injury to visiting player Martin Guest.
