WYE rowers raced to success over two days of racing at Gloucester Regatta on the Sharpness Canal.
Dave Byrne won his men's Masters F (over-60) singles final by a foot from his Bridgnorth opponent in day one's Masters & Juniors regatta.
And fellow MF rowers Nick Hooton, Ian Townsend, Paul Bezani, Andy Davies and cox Denize Atan beat Greenbank Falmouth in their semi, followed by victory against Bristol Ariel by 3/4L in the final.
The ME (over-55) coxless four of Colin Lewis, Tim Male, Paul Bezani and James Allison raced an older Bridgnorth crew in the final and started behind with a handicap, but powered through in the last 150m to win by 1/2 length.
Nick and Ian also took the ME pairs from Ross by 3L, while the mixed 8 of Colin Lewis, Simon Lee, Ewart Birkett, Tim Male, Louise Tanner, Bonita Birkett, Paula Nixon, Denize Atan and cox Liz Lewis beat a younger Bristol Ariel crew to the MD (over-50) title by 1L.
British Championship finalist Sebastian Lee moved through three rounds of the U14 singles, winning the final by 2L from Worcester.
And the MF eight of Tim Earnshaw, Nick Hooton, Ian Townsend, James Allison, Colin Lewis, Dave Byrne, Andy Davies, Paul Bezani and cox Liz Lewis beat a Bristol Ariel crew containing club mate Harry Beach by 1L and then Guildford comfortably in the final.
Male and Simon Lee also pulled out the stops to beat Greenbank Falmouth by 1L in the MD doubles final, but Mel Brown and Tim Earnshaw were pipped by 3ft by Dave Byrne and crew mate in Exeter colours in mixed MF doubles.
Archie Cowton won his U18 singles semi by 1L but missed out to another Dart opponent by the same margin.
Julian Shaw teamed up with an Exeter rower in a double but missed out to Bridgnorth by 3L, while Mel Brown, Lou Tanner, Denize Atan and Bonita Birkett worked hard but couldn’t overcome an eight-second handicap in their WF fours final against Upton.
Day two saw George Knight and Ben Morgan beat both Loughborough and Hereford to make the final of open doubles before losing to Black Sheep by 3L.
Archie Cowton lost out by 1L to Hereford in the quarters of open singles, while the Monmouth trio then joined Harry Dalrymple in an open four, losing by 3/4L to another Hereford boat.
