The Lower Wye Ramblers invite you to join them on Sunday October 1 for a moderate-plus 9-mile walk with three hills, fabulous views and maybe a few friendly cows.

Starting at 10 am from Huntley Church (park along church wall on the access road to Leaf Creative Garden Centre; Grid reference: SO 71378 19607; Nearest postcode: GL19 3EX; what3words: curable.speaks.pacemaker), the walk begins with a steady climb to the top of May Hill to enjoy the remarkable views and then descends through woods and fields to the village of Aston Ingham and then goes on to Cliffords Mesne. The final part of the walk is relatively flat, with one short hill at Glasshouse and a final descent back to the start point.

Please bring a drink, snack, and packed lunch with you. Suitable clothing and footwear (sturdy walking boots/shoes) should be worn for the walk. For further information (e.g. meeting point for car sharing) and contact details for the walk leader, go the group’s website (www.ramblers.org.uk/lower-wye; it is always a good idea to look on the website on the morning of a walk to check for any changes [e.g. cancellation due to weather, etc.]) or Facebook page.
