A CARING seven-year-old girl has inspired many by selflessly donating her hair to charity after being touched by Children in Need footage.

Maisie Thomas from St Briavels had 30cm of her hair cut off before donating it to the Little Princess Foundation in Hereford last Friday (30th March).

Maisie was so moved by the story of four-year-old Vanessa Moss, whose tragic story of her battle with cancer was aired by the BBC last November, that she said she wanted to ’Stand up to Cancer’.

Maise’s mother Leanne said: “The haircut was kindly donated by Sue Thomas at Sue’s Salon Abergavenny. Friends and family have been so generous with donations and we couldn’t be prouder of her.”
