A reasonable week for those anglers who wanted to go fishing during the last week of the season.

Conditions were not ideal because the weather forecasts warned of the possibility of strong winds and plenty of rain.

Only one limit bag was recorded but fish were caught from the bank and boats. After his success last week, secretary Dave Jones caught another two fish-4lb from the boat, as did N.Hallaran with five fish-11lb 14oz that included one at 3lb 8oz.

Visitor J.Virgo netted two fish-4lb 7oz; D. Woof two fish-4lb 4oz, and members Ann Heming two fish-5lb 14oz, Tony Heming four fish-7lb 4oz and George Phillips two fish-3lb 10oz.

Fishing from the bank were visitors D.Ellis four fish-9lb 2oz; Owen Caudle two fish-4lb; K.Padfieldone fish-2lb 1oz.

Another visitor took a two fish ticket, landing two fish-8lb 7oz that included one at 5lb 7oz and then bought another ticket, netting two more fish-5lb 8oz.

Member Gary Wharton ended his first season on a high note, taking two fish-6lb 3oz, the best fish being 4lb 1oz, which fell to a gold head damsel.

The total catch for the season was 2819 Rainbows, with an average weight of 2lb 4oz and average catch was 1.57 per angler.

Overall it was a very good season, and the association is hoping that this success will continue next year.
