County Councillor for the Llanbadoc and Usk ward Tony Kear has been advised that the Usk branch of the Co-op will be closed for a big refurbishment from 9th May and re-opening 4th July.
“Unfortunately there's urgent renovation and upgrades required,” he said.
He will give more details in due course following his request to meet the management.
Earlier this year Co-op revealed that around 80 of its existing stores would undertake major refurbishment.
New refrigeration supports Co-op’s work to continue to cut its carbon footprint, and soft plastic recycling is also available, enabling shoppers to return harder to recycle materials such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches.
