The children at Trellech Primary School are excited to share the news that Trellech PTFA have secured a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund Wales for £7345.
The grant will go towards creating community events in Trellech.
They have already hosted a community wreath making at Christmas and will be meeting this week to finalise theirSpring term events!
Trellech Primary School is set in a rural community and the PTFA members are very conscious that their community is spread across a large landscape.
These events help bridge the gap of isolation that village communities face, it supports children with a safe central outdoor space to meet and play, something that most town and city children may take for granted.
Many of the amenities in the villages have closed due to the cost of living crisis and aftermath of covid, the school is at the forefront of the community, with a collaborative approach, this grant will go a long way to supporting these events, bringing everyone together again.
