Monmouth lady golfers and friends once again enjoyed a week of golfing activities.

Golf and "Strawberry Tea", enticed many players out on one of the hottest days of the year. One or two fell by the wayside and in the putting challenge competition the sun was almost the winner.

The "Travelling Strawberry Teapot" was won by Tina Gardner, second Alison O'Doherty and third Fiona Drummond. The putting was won by Margaret Cobham.

Monmouth Ladies held their annual Invitation Day on Saturday, the fun of playing golf and the laughter which echoed around the course resulted in some very high scores.

The winner was Fiona Drummond and her guest Rosemary Chaffers-Jones, second Lorna Roy and guest Sylvia Curphy and third Lillian Rawlinson-Winder and guest Mrs Turbutt.
