CANTEEN staff at a Monmouth school are celebrating after picking up a Silver Food Hygiene Award.

Kymin View Primary School was given the Food Standards Agency award for high standards observed at the inspection".

Deputy headteacher Theresa Ryan-Balfe presented kitchen staff Wendy Bufton and Ann Wilkins with a certificate.

Mrs Ryan-Balfe said: "The school is delighted for our kitchen workers, this is a very difficult award to achieve.

"We all enjoy lovely, healthy, home-cooked meals here including the staff."
