Year 6 pupil Lucinda Sperring has written this report for the Beacon about her school’s Eisteddford.

On March 1, 2023, it was Kymin View’s Eisteddfod.

It was a great day thoroughly enjoyed by all the pupils.

The day began with a short assembly at 9am where the nursery shared their Welsh singing with the rest of the school.

An unexpected surprise then happened when some of the Year 6 girls decided to share their country dancing routine that they have been practising for their Monmouth Cluster Eisteddfod.

Later that day, the celebrations continued in the hall where reception to Year 6 all shared their Welsh singing and performing.

Certificates were handed out to all year groups for the work that they had achieved linked to Welsh culture. Overall, the Eisteddfod was an exciting and exhilarating experience for all involved.
