Monmouth Town Council have voted to transition to hybrid meetings.
The move would give councilors and members of the public the option to either return to Shire Hall or attend meetings remotely.
Cllr Richard Roden said: “It would be wonderful to meet people again in Shire Hall. I also think it would be good to allow people to allow electonic means other than the telephone in order to actually see the council at work.”
Cllr Jamie Treharne added: “I welcome the move to hybrid meetings, the sooner the better.”
Hybrid meetings are already being used for Welsh and UK government meetings.
