Throughout the year, meetings have been held either through video conferencing, or a hybrid of video conferencing and in-person.
Whilst there was some initial resistance amongst some council members to adopt the video conferencing platform Zoom, recent meetings in 2022 have invited a substantially greater participation from the public, specifically the extraordinary meeting last week which saw substantial changes to the ACE (Action on Climate Emergency) Monmouth group, which saw over a dozen members of the public attend.
Throughout the year of 2021 three Monmouth town councillors had attended the full roster of 16 full council meetings, which includes all extraordinary full council meetings: mayor Cllr Terry Christopher, deputy mayor Anthea Dewhurst and Overmonnow town and county councillor Jaime Treharne.

Whilst Town ward councillor Simon Jones attended eight meetings, it should be noted that he was elected to the council in February 2021. The attendance data was taken from official council minutes, available from the Monmouth Council Council website (monmouth.gov.uk). Councillors arriving late or departing early were counted at preset in these figures.
