Over the weekend of April 18/19, 2020 Gwent Police became aware of people offering puppies for sale via Facebook.

The sellers showed pictures of puppies online stating that because of Covid-19 restrictions they cannot be seen in person but will be couriered to the buyer once online payment has been made.

Police have discovered these have been fraudulent scams with no dogs supplied and with payment arrangements sending monies beyond the UK.
