Convicted murderer Brian Grady (also known as Brian Revill), aged 26, who absconded from HMP Prescoed on Monday 14th January, has been located and arrested in the Bristol area.

He is currently in police custody but will be returned to the custody of the prison service.

Gwent Police took immediate action after being notified that the individual had absconded.

An operational plan was activated and officers worked with Avon and Somerset Police to locate him.

Officers also arrested a 22-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, both from the Bristol area, on suspicion of assisting an offender.
