POLICE investigating a report of a late night town centre assault that left several people injured, including a woman, are appealing for witnesses.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said the incident happened outside a bar in Abergavenny’s Frogmore Street at around 3am on Saturday, February 1.

Three boys – two aged 15 and one 16 – and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of affray, and have since been released on police bail.

“It’s believed that one of the victims has not been identified, and officers are concerned for their welfare and are appealing for them to come forward,” they added.
