The winner of the competition for the Best Recycled Window on show during the ACE Monmouth Festival last week went to Lottie Dixon of the Bloom Room.

The beautiful display of recycled bottles translated into flowers was an eye-catching window celebrating the recycling festival weekend.

Each ‘flower’ was a plastic bottle with the top as the centre of the flower and the neck was the petals, it was then coloured.

She was presented with her first prize plaque at the Chamber of Commerce’s AGM last week.

Described as “phenomenal” by the chair of the Chamber, Sherren McCabe-Finlayson, Lottie’s window itself is being recycled for a project in Ross-on-Wye this week.

In second place was Bridges Charity Shop and third place was Rossiter’s Books.
