PHOTOGRAPHS left by the late Derek Jones MBE will be exhibited in Monmouth after being donated to the Nelson Museum.
Derek Jones, who died in February 2014, left a significant archive of material including a massive number of photographs. Following an exhibition at St Mary’s Priory in January this year, the photographs have been donated to The Nelson Museum in Priory Street and will be displayed there on Saturday (19th November).
The images span a period of more than 80 years up almost to Derek’s death.
The monumental collection is all of local people and events in Monmouth and the locality. Visitors to the display will have the opportunity to peruse the photographs and may find it diverting to identify the location and or the people depicted.
Admission is free and refreshments will be available. Everyone will be welcome to attend. The doors will be open from 11am until 4pm on the day.
