National Highways will be installing a contraflow along the A40 at Leys Bend.

They say it will provide their teams with a safe space to remove debris, clear vegetation and continue survey work, ensuring the A40 remains open in both directions.

To allow them to install the contraflow safely, they will be closing the A40 eastbound between Dixton roundabout and Whitchurch overnight from 8pm to 6am, on tonight

When the road is closed, clearly signed diversion routes will be in place👇

HGV and long-distance traffic: diversions via the M5 and M4.

Local traffic: diversions via Abergavenny, the A465 to Hereford and then the A49 to Ross on Wye.
