According to a study conducted by business energy experts Utility Bidder, Monmouthshire is the second-best place in Wales to start a business.

The company analysed factors such as GDP, business survival rates, transport links, and office efficiency ratings to reveal the best and worst regions for Welsh entrepreneurs to begin their business.

With an overall score of 7.4 out of 10, Monmouthshire recorded a strong five- year business survival rate of 48.1 per cent and a well-educated population with 33.1 percent of people holding a level 4 qualification or higher.

The report highlighted the wide variety of businesses in Monmouthshire from retail shops, services, and hospitality and tourism based endeavours.
