MONMOUTH Rotary Club held its sixth annual model railway exhibition at Monmouth Leisure Centre on Sunday 12th February.

With 48 exhibitors this show is rapidly becoming the largest one day model railway event in south Wales. The show is building on a reputation for high quality with an impressive range of displays.

This year Barnhill Model Railway Club from Bristol won the overall prize for the best layout. Exhibition manager Peter Pearce, said: “The whole thing went extremely well. We had a good crowd through the door and lots of great comments about the displays.”

In total more than 500 people attended the event raising more than £2,000 for Rotary charities.
