A 45-YEAR-OLD man who was attacked in a Wye Valley town during the early hours of a Sunday morning is likely to lose his sight in one eye.
The incident occurred in Verschoyle Gardens, in Ross-on-Wye, on March 9.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Hereford County Hospital where medical staff fought to save the man’s sight, and he was released from hospital four days later.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police confirmed that the force received a call around 7am with a report of an alleged assault at Verschoyle Gardens.
They added: “A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm,” and an investigation into the incident is on-going.
