POP sensations Little Mix cast a spell over 15,000 adoring fans at Caldicot Castle last night, Thursday, 13th June.

One of the world’s biggest girl groups performed hit after hit to a packed out audience inside the castle’s beautiful country park.

Renowned for their unique brand of catchy pop tunes, Little Mix served up a performance full of energy and passion that had the audience hooked.

The four-piece of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall burst onto the scene winning the X Factor in 2011 and have earned a reputation for their energetic, entertaining shows.

With the crowd warmed up by special guests Sheppard and Louisa Johnson, Little Mix delivered a mesmerising performance with brilliant harmonies and choreographed dance moves.

The group are currently touring the UK with their Summer Shout Out shows and last night’s performance certainly lived up to its billing, with thousands of fans singing along to their favourite songs.

The cabinet member with responsibility for innovation, enterprise and leisure, councillor Bob Greenland, said: “It’s not often you get to see acts like Little Mix perform in such stunning surroundings and I’m thrilled with how they embraced performing at one of Wales’ most iconic landmarks.

“Entertaining is clearly in their DNA and, on last night’s performance, they clearly have many Glory Days still ahead of them!

“This spectacular show was the latest in our diverse and dynamic public programme of events here at Caldicot Castle.

“We want to lead the way in housing contemporary arts and culture events in south east Wales and nothing signals this intent more than welcoming one of the world’s biggest pop groups.”

The Little Mix performance was the first of four nights of live performances at the iconic venue, with Rusty Shackle, Ocean Colour Scene and Only Men Aloud headlining shows between now and Sunday.
