The Lower Wye Ramblers invite you to join them on Sunday September 24 for a moderate 7-mile walk. Starting at 10 am from the pay and display (£1 coin) car park by the football pitch at Redbrook on the A466 (Grid reference: SO 53621 09970; Nearest postcode: NP25 4LP; what3words: elect.blogging.nightlife), the walk heads up the valley side through woodland before descending to Newland and pastures at the edge of the Forest of Dean. The route then takes narrow roads to the ancient Coxbury and Wyegate Lane, offering sublime views across the Marches, before joining Offa’s Dyke Path through Highbury Wood Nature Reserve and finally descending steeply back to Redbrook.
Please bring a drink, snack, and packed lunch with you. Suitable clothing and footwear (sturdy walking boots/shoes) should be worn for the walk.
