Peter Fox MS has visited the Dogs Trust in Monmouth, paying tribute to the great work the charity does in supporting both dogs and owners.
As well as fundraising and rehoming dogs, the charity continues to play an important role in campaigning for important legal changes such as changes to the law in puppy smuggling, pupping farming and the illegal breeding of dogs.
With a network of 22 rehoming centres across the UK and Ireland, the Dogs Trust which cared for 13,374 dogs last year, including 10,588 dogs which were rehomed.
The Trust also ran 12,806 dog school classes, providing an opportunity for people to get to know their dogs better.
Each shop is run entirely by volunteers with a strong ethos of warm friendliness, and a love of dogs.
