Over 150 shoppers braved a wet and windy morning to be at the opening of Lidl's new store in Wyesham on Thursday. Coffee and cake was on offer to banish the cold December weather. The brand new store was opened by Liz Hacket Pain, County Councillor for Wyesham, who said, "Not only have Lidl's built a new store, they have built strong links with the community including Kymin View School and the Rugby team." Many great bargains were on offer to tempt the crowds and people could be seen buying for Christmas. "This store will be a great asset to Wyesham and Monmouth," said Counc Hacket Pain. "Good news for the community. Good news for the shoppers and good news for jobs!"
