The Lower Wye Ramblers invite you to join them on Sunday 21 April for a 7.3-mile moderate walk. Starting at 10 am from Foxhunter car park near The Blorenge (Grid reference: SO 26399 10701; Nearest postcode: NP4 9PG; what3words: arranger.handed.petition), the walk, which forms the second part of the Iron Mountain Trail, explores the fascinating industrial landscape of this area, going past Keeper’s Pond towards Pwll-du and the old Lamb and Fox before descending the Dyne-Steel Incline towards the Hill Pitt’s Chimney and passing the Ironworks on the return route.

Please bring a drink, snack, and packed lunch with you and wear suitable clothing and footwear for the walk. For further information (directions to start point; meeting point for car sharing) and contact details for the walk leaders, go the group’s website (www.ramblers.org.uk/lower-wye; it is always advisable to look on the website on the morning of a walk to check for any last-minute changes [e.g. cancellation due to weather, etc.]).

Walking is a great way to stay fit, enjoy the beautiful area we live in, and meet new people and make friends, and the Lower Wye Ramblers group offers a warm welcome to both novice and experienced walkers. So come along and join us—we look forward to meeting you.
