There were dark deeds afoot in Sherwood Forest as all the children were going missing and it was up to Robin Hood and his Merry People to save the day!

The latest Christmas panto from Spontaneous Productions and the Savoy Youth Theatre was guaranteed to bring some laughter and song to the Savoy Theatre this Christmas holiday.

It turns out that the evil Sheriff of Nottingham, played by West End star Robert Traynor, was stealing all the children to work in his goldmine, helped by Guy of Gisbourne (Greg Densham), and it was up to Robin Hood, (Chez Dunford), Little John (Nicholas Benjamin), Friar Tuck (Jon Geoffrey) and Clever Dick (Orlena Johns) to save the babes in the wood.

Maid Marion, played by Shady Murphy, sends Isabella, (Holly Ayling) into Robin’s camp to find out their plan and help them.

Meanwhile, the sheriff had been sent his nieces, (SYT junior members Meri Serle and Ava-Louise Brain) after his brother had died, but his plan is to get his two henchmen (SYT senior members Hamish Sperring and Jax Beard) to ‘dispatch them’ so he could inherit the castle with two moats.

Robin’s plan was to send in Friar Tuck disguised as Nanny Fanny to distract the evil sheriff while the rest look to rescue the children.
