THE newly laid road surface in Ross-on-Wye is about to be dug up due to urgent drainage problems.

The drain outside Hanks the Butchers shop and the Oxfam charity store in Broad Street was overflowing this morning and contractors have been called in to resolve the situation.

Broad Street was closed to all traffic at 12.15pm.
