A SEVENTY-THREE-year-old man has pleaded guilty to four counts of indecent assault on a boy under the age of 16 in the 1970s.

Kenneth William Thompson, who lives in Monnow Way, Bettws, Newport, appeared at Newport Crown Court last Thursday (24th August) where he pleaded guilty to four offences which took place in Rockfield, Monmouth between April 1972 and April 1975. He also pleaded not guilty to four similar charges of indecent assault.

Thompson will be sentenced at Newport Crown Court on 18th September.
