I am writing on behalf of Monmouth Conservative Club to try to stop a current rumour in the town that the club is closing.

This is certainly not the case as the club is in a better financial position than for years, as the accounts to be presented to the Annual Meeting on 9th December will show.

It seems there has been a misunderstanding in the minds of some people. The situation is that the Monmouth Town Branch of the Monmouth Conservative Association has been told there is attempt being made to close the branch. However, the club is not subject to any decision by the association and we hope we can go on for many years to come.
