Whatever Mostyn Woodfield has done to fine-tune his game it appears to have worked.
He has featured prominently in both of Monmouth Seniors' recent domestic competitions. His win in the medal format 'Bill Humphries Cup' was emphatic with an impressive net score of 62, leaving combative Phil Morgan and Richard Demery trailing in his wake with net scores of 67 and 69 respectively.
He also scored strongly to make second place in the 'Hall of Fame' competition, carding 37 stableford points, enough to force captain Chesney Britton into third place with 35 points.
With 39 points, Kevin Brook was the outright winner and he will go on to represent Monmouth Golf Club in the next round of this regional competition, one that raises valuable funds for cancer research.
