Members of Monmouth’s business group paid tribute to the president of the group who will be standing down this year after 5 years of presiding over what were quite troubled times in the town.

Sherren McCabe-Finlayson has been first chairman and then president of Monmouth Chamber of Commerce and has steered the group through covid and the disruption endured by the Welsh Water works that placed a strain on all businesses in Monmouth.

She not only increased membership by 25 per cent over her watch but won respect from the county council and other chamber groups with her designs with them.

Their next meeting is on Tuesday, February 11 at Creates Restaurant, is an Extraordinary General Meeting to look at electing a new president.
