Over the Easter weekend, Kymin View Primary school pupils of all ages had the opportunity to take part in an Easter Garden competition, run by Wyesham Together.
The children were shown an example of an Easter Garden the week before and how the different elements tell the Easter story. Nearly a third of the pupils entered the competition, which the organisers were amazed by.
The standard of entry was very high, and prizes were awarded in each year group for winner, runners up and then a small prize for all those who took part.
The staff at the school were delighted by the response and the way in which the children congratulated each other at the prize giving.
The competition was run by ‘Wyesham Together’, a forum of organisations in Wyesham for local people of all ages.
‘Wyesham Together’ is a group that varies depending on the event. This includes Kymin View Primary school, St. James's Parish Church, Wyesham Christian Fellowship, MHA, MCC, Wyesham Warren, Wyesham Community Woodland, St James's Hall, besides other groups such as the WI, and local history society and individuals who share their own musical talent such as the local harpist and pianist.
