THE award-winning
Sunrise Celebration is coming back for its tenth festival with great music, organic food, boutique camping and ethical conversations.
Sunrise Celebration has survived flooding, witnessed incredible performances by numerous musicians and has been a pioneer of event sustainability since 2006.
Headlining 2015's
festival are: Sam and the Womp, Holotronica, System 7, Lazy Habits, Laid Blak, King Porter Stomp, Kalakuta Millionaires, Mezzowave featuring Alison David, Rodney Branigan, Johnny Cage and the Voodoo Groove and Charlie Miller & the Soul Agents.
Top of the bill are Kosheen with Welsh songstress Sian Evans.
For the loyal Sunrise fans that have returned year on year, and in
honour of the first festival back in 2006, the
organisers will be welcoming back that festival's headline act – System 7.
One of the greats of the dance world they pioneered techno, ambient and electronica and still put on a phenomenal show today.
They precede Holotronica, a groundbreaking new 3D audio visual project from Stuart Warren-Hill. It is the first time this immersive light and music show will be seen at any UK music festival and it promises to leave all who watch it spell bound. 3D glasses will be provided on the night.
Saturday night is party night at Sunrise, with the Electro Swing Club.
Presented by DJs Chris Tofu and Tall Tim, and with some of the best big show bands, live dancers and cabaret, the line up promises to raise the roof on the Sunrise main stage tent for the festival's big 10th anniversary party night.
The first Electro Swing Club band to be announced is Sam and the Womp, who shot to fame in 2012 when "Bom Bom", reached number 1.
They fuse swing, brass band samples, hip-hop and sweeping sub basses, which makes them a "must see" live festival band.
Sunrise wouldn't be complete without its favourite big band, hip hop groups and this year they have three of the best live underground acts the UK has to offer in Lazy Habits, Laid Blak and King Porter Stomp.
Each of these bands has brought the house down in previous years and 2015 promises to see them back where they belong.
New additions to the Sunrise experience are the critically acclaimed ten-piece Kalakuta Millionaires with their soulful global Afro-funk rhythms, alongside the electronica of their Big Chill label mates Mezzowave ft. Alison David, with their cinematic soul.
Sunrise Celebration is keeping tight-lipped about the other names being prepared for the second line-up announcement but organisers are excited about the next set of artists.
They will include some incredible craft workshops, poets and speakers alongside some bands and performers and will follow early in 2015.
