On Friday 24th November at the Royal Oak, Hereford Road, a concert was held in aid of the North Gwent Cardiac Rehabilitation and Aftercare Charity.
A full house were entertained by the Celtic Collectors singing and playing Irish and Scottish folk music.
Celtic Collectors were formed earlier this year by parishioners from St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Monmouth. Having played in the Church in June, a member of the Charity approached the band and asked if they would be prepared to organise a concert to raise money for them.
The band enthusiastically said yes, they play free of charge for any charity and were delighted that £560 was raised on the night.
